The clash between Víkingur Gøta and Lincoln Red Imps, widely regarded as one of the least compelling ties in the Champions League’s first qualifying round, is unlikely to spring any surprises regardless of the result. Domestically, Lincoln Red Imps are in considerably better shape than their Faroese counterparts. However, their last competitive outing came in early May, leaving the visitors short on match sharpness. Lincoln Red Imps have recently been strengthened by the arrivals of Christian Rutjens, Samuel Benítez, and Juanje Argüez, which has improved their overall squad depth.
We expect a low-scoring contest in Klaksvík between Víkingur Gøta and Lincoln Red Imps, with neither side likely to register more than a couple of shots on target.
